The Alert Program initially was intended for children with attention and learning difficulties, ages 8-12, it has been adapted for preschool through adult and for a variety of disabilities.
They also have a video and a new book.
Take Five! Staying Alert at Home and School. This book is intended for teachers and parents. The sensory motor activities and other strategies to support children's engines to "run just right" at home school.
(Different OTs use it at different ages.)
Handwriting Without Tears (HWT) is the easy way to teach pre-printing, printing and cursive! It was developed by Jan Z. Olsen, OTR, an occupational therapist and handwriting specialist.
Callirobics (CALLIgraphy and aeROBICS) are a unique concept in handwriting exercises. They consist of repetitive simple writing patterns (straight and curved lines) to music.
